I qualified as a solicitor in 2002 having completed my law degree (LLB Hons) at Anglia Polytechnic University ( now known as Anglia Ruskin University ) and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School London. I spent over 20 years working at a leading law firm in Colchester as Head of the Wills, Life Planning and Probate Team. In 2023 I set up my own company working as a self employed consultant solicitor based in Dedham Essex where I live with my husband and two grown up sons Zak and Alex. I decided to work as a consultant solicitor because I wanted the freedom to focus entirely on my clients rather than the pressure of billing targets and increasing management duties. It now means I can focus on each and every client, providing flexible appointments and the ability to meet clients in the comfort of their home at a time which is convenient to them. I truly believe these are the areas of law that matter most when life changes, whether that's planning ahead or dealing with the aftermath of a bereavement. I chose to specialise in private client law on qualification as a solicitor because I really enjoyed the diverse range of people I met with relationships built on trust. Every Will, LPA and Probate matter represents a family relying on me to get things right during the most important and often difficult moments of their lives. That responsibility is something I take seriously. I genuinely feel humbled when clients reach out for assistance putting their trust in me. I have built my practice around a genuinely personal service.
